LALIGA

In 2018, Relevent developed a 20-year joint venture with LALIGA, Spain’s top men’s professional soccer division, to form LALIGA North America.  This one-of-a-kind partnership focuses on growing the world’s best football league, its internationally recognizable clubs and players, and world-renowned Spanish passion throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Central America via management of the league’s North American media rights, strengthening of commercial operations, and content production.  

With a team across New York and Mexico City and a full-service studio in Guadalajara, Mexico, LALIGA North America is developing locally relevant content for LALIGA fans in the territory. 

In 2021, LALIGA North America successfully negotiated media rights agreements with ESPN across Canada and the United States, and with SKY/Televisa across Mexico and Central America, worth $2 billion dollars – the two largest media rights deals for LALIGA outside of Spain. 

LALIGA North America has also built the largest commercial operation of any international soccer league, securing multiple commercial agreements, including top U.S. consumer facing brands like Verizon, McDonalds, and Panini.

Additionally, Relevent operates the LALIGA Summer Tour, the League’s official pre-season tournament, bringing Spain’s top-flight football competition to fans across the U.S. and Mexico.

Relevent’s strategic relationship with LALIGA has granted it unparalleled insights, experience, and expertise to promote international football throughout North America.

UEFA

UEFA and the European Club Association selected Relevent as its media rights partner for the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Super Cup, and Youth League from 2024 – 2027.  This historic appointment in 2022 made Relevent the only representative of UEFA club competitions outside of TEAM Marketing since the inception of the competitions.  

Relevent brokered record-breaking deals, generating over $1.7 billion dollars in the cycle and given the product a wide exposure across English (Paramount Global/CBS) and Spanish-language (Univision) platforms. The deals represent more than 2x the fee for the previous cycle.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Leveraging its expertise in football events and brand building, Relevent partnered with one of the largest football leagues in the world, the Premier League, to build their event platform and bring impactful, league-centric experiences to U.S. fans.  As part of a multi-year partnership, Relevent operated the inaugural Premier League Summer Series (the official pre-season tournament) in 2023 throughout the United States.

ENGLISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

In 2024, Relevent partnered with the English Football League (EFL) exclusively across North, Central, and South Americas. The partnership includes exclusive rights to all EFL matches across the territory as well as a dedicated content and marketing strategy for the U.S.

The four-year deal, through the 2027/28 season, enables Relevent to sell all Sky Bet EFL matches, all Play-Off matches, all Carabao Cup matches, and three Bristol Street Motors Trophy matches in addition to having all betting rights throughout the U.S. market. Relevent will also partner with the EFL on a dedicated marketing and content partnership which will elevate the League and all 72 club profiles through stakeholder engagement, brand building alongside creating a dedicated narrative that tells the story of the Clubs in the world’s original league football competition.  

BUNDESLIGA

In 2024, Relevent entered into a 17-year partnership with the DFL to build a localized operation for the league across North, Central, and South America to grow the interest and popularity of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 in the region.

The operation will have a dedicated team that will boast greater proximity to local markets, media companies, and brands, and will produce cross-media content that appeals to local fans across 35 different countries.
